What is 7’s Day? A Look Back at Code Red’s Annual RX-7 Celebration

Share
Every year on July 7th, JDM enthusiasts across the world celebrate 7’s Day — a tribute to one of the most iconic rotary-powered cars ever made: the Mazda RX-7.

At Code Red Performance, 7’s Day is more than just a calendar date. It’s a community tradition. A gathering of rotary lovers, car spotters, and die-hard enthusiasts who share a love for the RX-7 and all things rotary.

What started as a simple local meet has grown into something much bigger. Last year, we packed out Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley with dozens of RX-7s, other classic JDM builds, and a loyal crowd that stayed long after the sun set. We handed out limited-edition stickers, gave away mystery boxes in a free raffle, and connected with new faces and long-time supporters of Code Red.

For us, 7’s Day is a chance to give back to the community that keeps rotary culture alive. It’s a time to show off our cars, meet new people, and celebrate what makes JDM so special.
This year, we’re coming back even bigger — new sticker design, new raffle items, and the same unmistakable atmosphere. Whether you own an RX-7, drive a different JDM legend, or just love the scene, you’re invited.
