Custom LED License Plates — Production Update

Materials are in. Assembly is underway. All plates have been built — but two issues came up during the final stages of production that don't meet the standard this product is held to.

What the Issues Are

Bonding Imperfections

In some cases, the back panel wasn't bonded with sufficient clamping pressure, or adhesive was applied unevenly. The result is minor but visible gaps between the back layer and the rest of the plate. Structurally fine. Visually not acceptable given what you paid.

Paint Blemishes

The final step before CNC machining is painting the plates to prevent light bleed and add protection. Some plates were moved before the paint had fully cured, leaving minor surface blemishes. Again — functional, but not up to standard.

Your Options

  1. The imperfections get fixed before your plate ships. $25 refund issued to your order.
  2. You're okay with the imperfections and want your plate shipped as soon as possible. $35 refund issued to your order.
  3. You'd prefer to cancel. Full refund including shipping. No questions asked.

No response before your order is ready to ship defaults to Option 1 — the imperfections will be corrected and the $25 refund applied.

Code Red Performance is a one-person operation. This batch was a significant learning process in large-scale production outside of 3D printing. The issues are known, the fixes are being worked through, and every order will go out right.
