Mirror Switch Retainer

The door mirror switch clip fails in a specific way — the mounting arms break, the switch becomes loose in the door card, and the whole assembly shifts under use. The full switch is fine. The problem is only how it mounts.

This retainer does not replace the switch. It replaces the mounting mechanism. The C-clip design holds the switch body securely against the door card while keeping full function of the switch itself.

Installation

1. Remove the driver-side door card.
2. Pop the mirror switch out of the door card.
3. Trim the broken OEM clip arms flush with the switch body using flush cutters.
4. Insert the trimmed switch into the door card opening.
5. Slide the C-clip over the switch until it clicks into place — one orientation only.
6. Thread the knurled ring onto the back with the flange facing the door card until snug.
7. Reinstall the door card.
